I'm almost apprehensive to post this review for selfish reasons... But this studio is a massive hidden gem that deserves recognition! I walked into the hair salon not really having any expectations (the space is quite intimate) but was blown away by the service! Leanza (the owner) books her clients in personally and takes her time giving you bespoke 1 on 1 consultation before working with you to get the best results for your own needs. I came in wanting to get my hair and make up done for an event, and left feeling like I was given a master class session on personal hair styling and make up. Leanza is a wealth of knowledge, giving very practical, understanding and personal advise on how best to manage my hair and make up.

Leanza is absolutely amazing and a miracle worker! I haven’t had my hair done since 2019 and so my natural black colored hair had all grown out by the time I visited her. I wanted to achieve an ashy-blond balayage and the experience at her studio from start to end was great. She walked me through what would be achievable in the first go given my jet-black hair and how to progress to what I want in a gradual way to keep my hair healthy. I absolutely love our first do/color and excited for the next session to get to that lighter shade! Hair feels so soft and lush, and her studio is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely recommend Lilac Studio for all your hair needs.

Off the busy Lygon St is the calm and beautiful Lilac Studio. The second I walked in, I was greeted by the bubbly Leanza. She offered me coffee and a little cookie (what's not to love?) and made me feel very at ease. I'm not a usual talker when I get my hair done but was very comfortable with letting Leanza know what I wanted. Do yourselves a favour and get the hair hydration treatment done—it's nice and warm and leaves your hair silky smooth. Leanza worked her magic and I walked out super happy (and chilled out) with my haircut. It was like I stepped out of a spa.Thank you so much, Leanza 🙂

What can I say..Leanza was so professional from the moment I stepped into the salon until I left. The salon is gorgeous, clean and I had the most incredible one on one experience. I felt like a VIP!! I went in to colour my hair for the first time on my virgin black hair. She was so patient to hear what I wanted and she was realistic with what my hair could achieve and went through some inspo photos with me. Leanza made my hair dreams come true with her magic touch! I cannot wait to go back to get my hair cut and colour by Leanza. I will be recommending her new salon to everyone!

Leanza was so warm and welcoming right from the moment I walked through the door up until I left five hours later! She is so incredibly patient and listened to all my requests as I am very particular about my hair. She also gave me some very useful advice, which I took her up on which made my makeover more stunning than I expected ❤️ I am very pleased with my hair cut and hair colour, thank you so much Leanza! Unlimited cuddles with Kasper the poochie made this entire experience even better and I can’t wait to come back for my next hairstyle!

I dyed (ombre) and cut my hair with Leanza a month ago and it's still looking amazing! On top of really unwinding myself by enjoying the ambiance of the beautiful studio, Leanza treats my hair with so much care and respect. I could feel how genuine and passionate she was about helping me with my goals for my hair, while being honest and realistic with her advice. I was extremely comfortable leaving my hair in her hands! Looking forward to returning soon!

Just had a haircut here and couldn't be happier! Leanza is very skilled and knowledgeable. I have decided to try out a new hair style and she showed me all the ins and outs of how I can style and take care of my hair. Just as the other reviews said, the whole experience feels very personalised and thorough. The studio also feels very clean and relaxing. Love the lilac theme! Will definitely be back when my hair is due again.

I went here to get my hair cut and coloured recently. It's just run by one hairdresser (the owner) at this stage so the experience is really personal since she just has one client at a time. I really enjoyed that and it meant that I got the space to myself. The space is really open and it's super clean and the owner is super friendly and gives honest and great advice about your hair specifically which I value since that's really hard to find. The owner did a great job with my hair and I love it. I'll be making another appointment at this salon when I'm due for a touch up/cut.

The offering here is unique as you'll find it, being a totally one-on-one experience that is as personal as you can hope for, with incredible attention to detail. honestly not sure why most men go to barbers when you can get a much better experience at hairdressers like this one!

Absolutely over the moon with my hair cut and colour! Leanza helped me with picking the perfect blonde as I wasn’t sure what I wanted and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I recently visited Lilac Studio for a haircut and treatment, and loved the space! Leanza (the owner) did my balayage in the past, and I'm definitely returning to Lilac Studio for my next colour treatment - I can't recommend Leanza enough! Parking was easy - which was a bonus!
